Edwin Sifuna has announced plans by the Linda Mwananchi faction to hold a rally in Eldoret. The event forms part of a wider push to expand political influence across the country.
Speaking on Spice FM, Sifuna said the team will tour regions considered strongholds of William Ruto. These include parts of the Rift Valley and Mt Kenya.
He confirmed that the group plans to visit areas such as Turkana County and Mandera County. The aim is to popularise their agenda and grow their support base ahead of the next elections.
Sifuna urged Ruto’s supporters in Eldoret to avoid disrupting the rally. He told those who disagree with the faction to stay away instead of causing chaos.
He also defended the group’s earlier focus on ODM strongholds. He said the strategy aimed to demonstrate influence within the party amid rising internal tensions.
The move comes as succession politics intensify within the Orange Democratic Movement. The situation follows reduced day-to-day involvement of Raila Odinga.
Sifuna has emerged as a central figure in the Linda Mwananchi faction. The group has opposed sections of ODM leadership over alleged alignment with the government ahead of the 2027 polls.
