Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale has announced the death of his wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale.
Khalwale said Gloria suddenly collapsed and died after suffering a heart attack on Saturday morning, August 15, 2026.
“My dear wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, has this morning suddenly collapsed and died after a heart attack,” Khalwale announced.
Gloria was the mother of eight of Khalwale’s children.
The senator named their children as Engine Kukaste, Olivia Sabayi, Flavia Shimuli, Gift Atubukha, Meliza Khamwenyi, Velma Nasiebanda, Sonia Inuni and Maura Makatse Khalwale.
Gloria’s death comes nearly seven years after Khalwale lost his first wife, Adelaide Khalwale.
Adelaide died in October 2019 after developing pulmonary hypertension.
