Tension as Raphael Tuju Repotedly Goes Missing

According to reports shared by The Nairobi Times on X, former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju has gone missing, raising concern among his family and close allies. His son and lawyer say his phones have been switched off since Saturday night. His car was later found abandoned along Miotoni Lane.

The report spread quickly on Sunday, drawing national attention. A message from a close aide indicated that all efforts to reach him had failed. Police have since launched a search as questions grow over what may have happened.

Tuju has been at the centre of a long-running legal dispute over Dari Business Park, a prime property in Karen. The conflict is tied to a loan from the East African Development Bank. He maintains that the full loan amount was never disbursed, yet repayment is still being demanded.

Earlier this month, police raided the property and sealed it off. Tuju resisted the move, insisting he would not give in to pressure. His attempts in court to block the sale suffered setbacks, although a temporary order later halted the process.

His disappearance has heightened fears of possible foul play, but authorities have yet to issue an official statement clarifying the circumstances.
