Fresh details have emerged in the death of veteran gynaecologist Job Obwaka, shedding light on his final moments before he collapsed at a residence in Kitengela.
According to preliminary accounts, the doctor had shared a meal with a woman identified as Beatrice Wangare before requesting water. Shortly after, he reportedly began feeling unwell and developed breathing difficulties.
The report further indicates that a neighbour was called in to assist as his condition worsened. Arrangements were then made to rush him to Nairobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations have since launched investigations to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident. Officers from Kilimani Police Station are also involved in the probe.
Authorities confirmed that investigators are currently at the Kitengela residence linked to Wangare, piecing together the timeline of events leading up to the incident. The scene forms a key part of the investigation as officers seek to verify accounts and gather physical evidence.
