A woman has been arrested in connection with the death of her husband following a domestic dispute in Chanzuvu village, Vihiga County.
Police say the suspect is in custody after allegedly stabbing her husband, a father of two identified as Abdala.
The incident reportedly began when the couple disagreed over a small amount of money meant for phone charging services. Tension escalated after a disagreement over the unreturned balance, which later developed into a heated confrontation.
Authorities say the argument intensified the following night, when the suspect allegedly attacked the victim at their home using a sharp object.
The victim sustained injuries that were initially not considered severe but later succumbed after reportedly bleeding for several hours.
The suspect is being held at Mbale Police Station as investigations continue. The body has been moved to the mortuary awaiting post-mortem examination.
