Moses Kuria has stirred debate after naming three political figures he believes could deputize William Ruto in the 2027 election. He shared his views during an interview on JKLive.

Kuria first addressed current Deputy President Kithure Kindiki. He said Kindiki still holds a “mathematical chance” of remaining on the ticket but avoided giving a clear prediction.

He hinted that the outcome remains uncertain and advised observers to expect surprises. His remarks suggest internal calculations within the ruling coalition may still shift before 2027.

Kuria also mentioned Oburu Odinga as a possible contender. The suggestion stands out given ongoing tensions between UDA and Orange Democratic Movement.

He insisted that Oburu holds a real chance despite political differences. Kuria added that Oburu actively seeks power and remains a serious political player.

He then turned to former Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho. His assessment of Joho’s chances was direct and dismissive.

Kuria described Joho as a strategic leader who understands his political position. However, he ruled out any realistic chance of Joho becoming a running mate.

He stated that Joho has almost no chance of securing the position. His remarks could influence ongoing discussions around coalition building ahead of the election.

The comments highlight growing speculation about the 2027 ticket. Political alignments and internal negotiations continue to shape the race for the deputy position.
