Bomet man known only as Kevin found himself in atight situation after his wife reportedly took his phone and deleted his other girlfriend Naomi's number, replacing it with her own number saved under the name "Naomi."
He explained that he had not known that someone had tipped his wife off about Naomi.
Kevin recounted that he had then received an SMS from "Naomi" asking for two thousand Kenyan shillings. He said that he had rushed to his wife and lied to her, claiming that he needed the money urgently for an emergency.
He told her that his brother was sick and required the money immediately. He added that his wife had given him the money without question, and that he had rushed to send it to the account number written in the message.
Kevin narrated that later, while relaxing at home after work, he had kept wondering whether Naomi had received the money. He said that he had sent her an SMS to find out, and that her response had been to tell him to call her immediately.
He recounted that he had slipped outside behind the house to make the call, and that his horror had been unimaginable when he heard his wife's voice on the other end of the line instead of Naomi's.
Kevin confessed that three days had since passed and that he was still standing outside. He lamented that he did not know how to get back into his own house.
