Richard Onyonka has claimed he was harassed by a group of goons while traveling in Bondo. The senator said the incident occurred as he stopped at a restaurant on his way to Kang’o Ka Jaramogi.
According to Onyonka, the group confronted him and questioned his presence in the region. He alleged that they told him he could not eat in Nyanza due to his background and political stance.
The senator said the individuals arrived in Probox vehicles and attempted to intimidate him. He added that he left the scene without injuries.
Onyonka linked the incident to broader political tensions, claiming it reflects the current state of the country under William Ruto. He shared the claims alongside a video that has since circulated online.
Authorities have not yet issued an official statement on the matter. The incident has sparked reactions, with some calling for investigations into alleged political intolerance.
