Rigathi Gachagua confirmed the development through a post shared on his official Facebook page. He described the latest entrant as a strong and ambitious leader with growing influence in regional politics.
Gachagua revealed that Deborah Wanjugu Nderitu visited him for discussions on her political journey and future plans. He noted that she seeks to contest for the Laikipia Woman Representative seat under the DCP party.
He described Deborah as a philanthropist who leads a non governmental organization focused on sustainable development and supporting marginalized communities. He added that her decision to join DCP reflects growing confidence in the party’s direction.
Gachagua welcomed her into the party and assured her of a fair nomination process ahead of the elections. He urged her to strengthen grassroots support and prepare effectively for the upcoming party primaries.
The former Deputy President insisted that DCP continues to expand its influence across different regions. He claimed the party is attracting leaders who are dissatisfied with their previous political alignments.
