Natembeya Alleges The Irony Behind Ruto Not Taking Alcohol, Urges Kenyans Not To Be Like Him

George Natembeya has escalated his criticism of William Ruto, raising fresh political tension with remarks targeting the President’s conduct.

In statements reported by Kenyans.co.ke, Natembeya questioned what he described as a contradiction in Ruto’s public image.

He argued that despite the President’s stance of not consuming alcohol, his repeated verbal attacks on opponents reflect behavior he associates with individuals who lack restraint.

Natembeya claimed that the President’s tendency to issue harsh and, at times, insulting remarks against critics does not align with the discipline expected from a national leader.

In his view, such conduct mirrors that of individuals who act without control, undermining the image of sobriety that Ruto often projects.

He further urged Kenyans not to normalize or adopt such behavior, insisting that leadership should set a higher standard in both speech and conduct. According to the governor, public office demands composure, especially when addressing political differences.

Natembeya maintained that as Head of State, Ruto carries the responsibility of uniting the country rather than deepening divisions through confrontational language. He argued that leadership should reflect maturity and restraint, not public exchanges that resemble heated arguments in informal settings.

The remarks add to ongoing political friction, with Natembeya positioning himself among vocal critics challenging the President’s style of leadership.
