Former Chesikaki Councillor and Mt Elgon parliamentary aspirant Nathan Wasama Masai has reportedly been killed by unknown assailants at his home in Tuikut, Cheptais, Mt Elgon Constituency, Bungoma County.

Reports indicate that the attackers raided his residence on Thursday night before shooting him multiple times and escaping from the scene.

Police Yet to Confirm Details

The incident left Wasama with multiple gunshot injuries, according to preliminary reports circulating after the attack.

Images shared online appeared to show injuries on his chest, although police had not officially confirmed the circumstances surrounding the shooting at the time of publication.
