Several people have been injured after a vehicle in the motorcade of William Ruto collided with the rear of a lorry at Mutunduri in Embu County along the Embu–Meru Highway.
The accident occurred as the convoy was heading to Gatunduri, where President Ruto was scheduled to attend a church service on Sunday.
The injured were attended to following the crash. Authorities have not yet released details on the number of casualties or the cause of the accident.
