The Social Health Authority (SHA) has opened applications for 54 new positions as it seeks to strengthen its workforce and improve service delivery across the country.
In a recruitment notice released on June 9, the authority invited qualified candidates to apply for vacancies in two job categories. The available positions include 47 slots for Administration Officer I and seven positions for Senior Assistant Office Administrator.
SHA said it is looking for experienced and competent professionals who can support the institution in delivering its mandate under Kenya's healthcare system.
Applicants must meet the integrity requirements outlined in Chapter Six of the Constitution. As part of the application process, candidates must provide a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), a Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), a HELB clearance certificate, an Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) clearance certificate, and a Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) report.
Interested candidates can submit their applications online through the SHA recruitment portal or deliver hard-copy applications to the authority's offices in Nairobi.
The application package should include a detailed CV, copies of academic and professional certificates, a cover letter explaining suitability for the position, and contacts of at least three professional referees.
Applications should be addressed to the Chairperson of SHA and submitted before June 30, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
According to the authority, successful candidates will join the organization on permanent and pensionable terms. They will also receive salaries and benefits based on guidelines issued by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).
SHA emphasized that it promotes equal employment opportunities and encouraged qualified candidates from diverse backgrounds to apply. The authority also warned applicants against canvassing, noting that doing so will lead to automatic disqualification.
Only shortlisted candidates will proceed to the next stage of the recruitment process.
