Geoffrey Mosiria has confirmed he was involved in a road accident along Outering Road after a lorry reportedly veered off its lane and hit the vehicle he was travelling in.
In a statement, Mosiria said the collision caused significant damage to the car. He claimed the lorry driver had earlier attempted to hit their vehicle before the actual impact occurred, raising concerns about the driver’s conduct on the road.
He explained that they initially managed to avoid a collision by slowing down, but the lorry later veered into their lane, leading to the crash.
The incident was reported at Buruburu Police Station, where traffic police officers responded to the scene, assessed the situation, and arranged for the lorry to be towed to the station.
Mosiria confirmed that he recorded a statement with the police, adding that the lorry driver admitted fault following the incident.
He also acknowledged the swift response by the officers handling the case, noting that investigations are ongoing. Authorities are expected to take further action once the inquiry is complete.
