Kanini Kega has announced the death of his mother, leaving friends, supporters and fellow leaders sending messages of condolence following the heartbreaking news.
The vocal East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) Member of Parliament shared the emotional update through a post on his X account on Friday, May 8, where he expressed deep pain over the loss.
“I am devastated and heartbroken! It's well with my soul; however, it is difficult to believe that my mother has rested. Its painful,” Kega wrote.
The former Kieni MP did not reveal further details surrounding the death or burial arrangements, but his message quickly attracted an outpouring of support from Kenyans online.
Several users comforted the legislator with messages of encouragement and prayers during the difficult period.
