Prime suspect linked to the death of a slain Murang’a University student is now facing increased public attention after new details emerged linking him to a separate rape case reported in Kilimani just a year and a few months ago.
According to available records, the 33-year-old man, identified as Tony Odhiambo Lwal, is accused of raping a woman, Gloria Nyakio, at Himalayas Heights along Kindaruma Road in Kilimani on 15th September 2025.
Reports indicate that after the case was reported, he was released on a free bond as the matter continued to be handled by the justice system.
Now, the same suspect is at the centre of a new and highly sensitive investigation involving the death of Murang’a University student Constance Githinji.
The case has drawn widespread public concern as questions continue to rise about the circumstances under which the young student died after falling from a sixth-floor short-stay apartment in Kileleshwa, Nairobi.
The family of the deceased has strongly rejected early claims suggesting that Constance may have died by suicide.
They insist that their daughter had no known mental health issues and was full of hope for the future.
