John Methu has claimed he has not received his salary for the past six months. He linked the situation to his political stance and support for the opposition.

Speaking during an interview on Kameme FM hosted by Gatonye wa Mbugua, Methu described the move as retaliation against leaders who criticize the government. He said the alleged withholding aims to intimidate dissenting voices.

Methu questioned why his pay had stopped, stating that no clear explanation had been given. He argued that leaders should not face financial pressure due to their political positions.

The senator also accused William Ruto of attempting to influence opposition lawmakers. He claimed some leaders receive financial incentives to shift their allegiance.

At the same time, Methu defended Uhuru Kenyatta against claims that he funds opposition activities. He insisted that the former president stepped away from active politics.

According to Methu, Kenyatta now plays a limited advisory role. He said the former head of state only offers guidance and corrects leaders when necessary.

The remarks come amid rising political tension between government and opposition leaders. The claims have added to ongoing debate over governance, accountability, and political influence.
