The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority has released updated fuel prices for the April to May 2026 cycle, showing variations across major towns in the country following the latest review.

In Mombasa, Super Petrol will retail at Ksh203.69, Diesel at Ksh203.56, and Kerosene at Ksh149.49 per litre, making it one of the lowest-priced regions due to its proximity to the port.

In Nakuru, Super Petrol is priced at Ksh206.03 while Diesel will retail at Ksh206.25 per litre, reflecting slightly higher inland transport costs.

In Kisumu, motorists will pay Ksh206.85 for Super Petrol and Ksh207.06 for Diesel, placing it among the higher-priced towns in the latest review.

In the capital Nairobi, Super Petrol will retail at Ksh206.97, Diesel at Ksh206.84, and Kerosene at Ksh152.78 per litre.

The regulator explained that price differences across regions are mainly driven by transportation and distribution costs from depots. Despite government cushioning measures, including VAT reduction and subsidy allocations, fuel prices have continued to rise.

The new prices are expected to impact transport fares and the cost of goods and services across the country as consumers adjust to the higher pump rates.
