A shocking incident has left residents of Mukuru kwa Njenga in fear after a man was stabbed to death following a domestic dispute at a local lodging.

According to witnesses, the incident happened late in the evening when a middle-aged man reportedly followed his wife to a nearby lodging after suspecting she was having an affair. The man is said to have walked into the room unannounced, only to find his wife with another man, commonly referred to as “mpango wa kando.”

An argument quickly broke out between the two men. Witnesses say voices were raised, and the situation escalated within minutes. In the heat of the confrontation, the suspected lover allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the husband multiple times.

The victim collapsed inside the room as the attacker fled the scene. Efforts by people nearby to rush him to a nearby clinic were unsuccessful, as he was pronounced dead on arrival.

The wife, who was present during the incident, is currently assisting police with investigations. Authorities have already launched a manhunt for the suspect, who is still at large.

Residents expressed shock and concern over the rising cases of violence linked to relationship disputes. Many said such incidents are becoming too common and called for peaceful ways of resolving conflicts.

Local leaders have urged couples to seek help when facing challenges in their relationships instead of resorting to violence. They also encouraged members of the public to report suspicious activities early to prevent such tragedies.

Police have assured the public that they are doing everything possible to track down the suspect. They have also warned against taking the law into one’s own hands, reminding citizens that disputes should be handled through legal and peaceful means.
