Kenya Power has announced a series of scheduled electricity interruptions affecting 10 counties on Wednesday, March 25, as part of routine maintenance work. The outages are expected to run between morning and evening hours in most areas.
In Nairobi County, electricity will be interrupted in Gigiri, including Ruaka Road, Mae Properties, UN Crescent, UN Avenue, Daisy Road, Magnolia Estate, Whispers Avenue, Ruaka Drive, Eaton Place, and nearby areas.
Machakos County will see outages in Athi River, covering Athi River Sokoni, Fanak Limited, Saj Ceramics, Oriental Godowns, Kwa Mangeli, and surrounding neighborhoods.
In Kajiado County, the disruption will affect Olekasasi, Nazarene University, Tuala, Masai Road, Tuala Shopping Centre, Sigma Feeds in Tuala Emakoko, Ngurunga, Kedienye, Lebon School, Camp David, Kitengela Glass, and adjacent customers.
Parts of the North Rift region, specifically Cheptiret and Kapkoiga in Uasin Gishu County, will also be affected. Areas listed include Kerita, Kapkoiga, Bayete, Tarakwa, Koluoget, Burnt Forest, Kondoo, Cherus, Kapilat, Kaptingia, Ndanai, and nearby locations.
Kisii County outages will cover Nyangweta, Etago, Ekona, Iyabe, Nyachenge, and Kerina, including schools, hospitals, markets, and surrounding areas. Nyamira County will experience cuts in Ikonge, Ekerenyo, and Obwari, affecting markets, hospitals, and schools.
In Homa Bay County, power will be interrupted in Nyakongo, Alara, and Pala, covering Oyuma Ongalo, Osika, Aros, Rawe Beach, Chula, Kambusi, Kisindi, Nyangwete, Oindo, Kasibosi, Onyando, Sombro, Kingii, Koriko, and Kakoth.
The Mt. Kenya region will see outages in Kirinyaga County, specifically Kiamaina and Gathuthuma, including Gatehia TBC, Mukonyo Village, and local markets. In Kiambu County, Membley and Wataalam will be affected from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., impacting estates, schools, and churches.
At the Coast, Kilifi County’s Kokotoni area will experience interruptions in Kaliangombe, Kokotoni, Simakeni, Jimba, China Quarry, Boyani, Ngapeni, Kydee Quarry, Somali Village, SS Meta, and nearby locations.
Kenya Power urges residents to plan accordingly and exercise caution during the scheduled outages.
