Kenya Power Announces Power Outages in Four Counties For Routine System Maintenance.


The Kenya Power has announced planned power outages in four counties as part of routine system maintenance.

In a notice issued on Sunday, the utility firm said the interruptions will affect parts of Kericho County, Kisii County, Nyamira County, and Nyeri County on Monday, March 16.

In Kericho, the outage will hit sections of Bureti between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., disrupting both residential and commercial activities.

Areas expected to be affected include Bureti Dairies, Cheborge Market, Cheborge Boys and Girls Secondary School, Cheplanget Market, Chebwagan Secondary School, and Kibwastuiyo Market.

Also on the list are Ngesumin Secondary School, Kapsegut Boys, Kureti Technical Training Institute, Kenene Dispensary, Bokoyot Centre, parts of Roret Market, Tebesonik Factory, and Tebesonik Centre, alongside nearby customers.

Kenya Power stated that the planned maintenance is aimed at improving network reliability and ensuring stable electricity supply in the long run.

Residents and businesses in the affected areas have been advised to plan accordingly to minimise disruptions during the outage period.
